Samsung will soon introduce the Galaxy J2 Core, the company’s first Android Go phone

Samsung is in the midst of creating an Android Go phone and it has just been confirmed by the official firmware that has just surfaced on the Internet. The phone will launch as the Galaxy J2 Core and will come with Android 8.1 out-of-the-box.

With its official firmware out on the Intenet and a recent certification by the FCC, the phone is all ready to launch to the market soon. We know that Samsung is about to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 but we expect that this phone will probably not be part of the showcase as Android Go phones are catered to those that want a smartphone on an extreme budget. The phone will come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display Exynos 7570 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5MP front camera, 8MP rear camera and 8GB of storage. Powering all the hardware is a 2,600mAh battery.

We should expect to see this phone released in India first before moving to other parts of Asia before we see a global release.
