Samsung introduces the Galaxy J2 Core that runs Android Go

A few weeks ago, we heard that Samsung was going to create a smartphone that will be running on Android Go. It looks like those reports are true as the company just announced the Galaxy J2 Core. Even if its meant to be a low-powered and less demanding version of Android, Samsung still managed to implement their Samsung UI on it.

The phone comes with an Exynos 7570 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. To keep the cost down, they placed a single 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front. Powering the device is a 2,600mAh battery which should be good enough to offer a full-days use on a single charge.

The Galaxy J2 core will release in India and Malaysia first before seeing a global release. However, they did not mention the price of the phone, but we should expect a press release from Samsung soon about the availability and pricing of the phone here in Malaysia.
