OnePlus 2 and Android 5.1-based ROM coming soon?

OnePlus announced the Android 5.1-based OxygenOS and CM12.1 will be released together with the fervidly anticipated OnePlus 2. OxygenOS first arrived on the OnePlus One back in April and now the build is available at the custom ROM that based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The Chinese company assurances to increase the speed of its updates after OnePlus 2 first appearance, OxygenOS will become the company’s official ROM.

Users that still sticking with Cyanogen ROM might receive the update CM12.1 ROM based on Android 5.1 Lollipop soon after or simultaneously with the new OxygenOS. The company already has a preview build currently in testing progress, meanwhile they going release a fix for the One’s touch screen issues and both of the ROM will receive the patch.

OnePlus 2 was reported confirmed today by GSM Arena and the device will be expected to make its very first appearance in Q3 this year.
