NVIDIA unveils new Quadro workstation graphics based on Pascal

As with every new architecture release, NVIDIA updates the rest of its GPU family and the Pascal architecture has now been implemented on its desktop Quadro workstation GPU, the company has unveiled the Quadro P6000 and P5000, these two workstation GPUs come with huge amount of CUDA cores and memory for graphics rendering work. The flagship P6000 for instance, comes with 24GB of GDDR5X memory, 3840 CUDA Cores and produces 12 TFLOPs of compute power, yet it merely takes up maximum of 250W of power, the Maxwell based M6000 predecessor has 3072 CUDA cores and 7 TFLOPs of compute power, so that is quite a significant upgrade.

The Quadro workstation GPU has always been meant for working on graphics intensive applications rather than gaming, while these new GPUs still run games fine if you really want to, you would be paying for a huge premium over a GeForce GPU for its graphics rendering capabilities, NVIDIA states that the new Quadro GPUs will bring a whole new level of performance and innovative capabilities to power visual computing on the desktop, in VR, or on-the-go, which users should be able to get the graphics rendering work done faster than ever. NVIDIA haven’t got a release date yet for the new Quadro GPUs, but do keep tabs on OEMs such as Dell and HP, they might probably be the first to feature these cards in their workstations.
