Microsoft will perform a major redesign for their 2019 Surface Pro

Microsoft is planning a major design change for their 2019 Surface Pro. The device is said to arrive mid-2019 and will be heavily redesigned and will come with the 8th Generation Intel Core processors.

Aside from that, ZDNet has speculated that a new Surface Laptop might arrive this year with Intel’s 8th Generation processors but did not confirm if it will come with a USB Type-C port, which many had requested. Other reports from Microsoft says that they are also developing a new Surface headset which ZDNet mentions, will be similar to the Jabra Evolve.

Bloomberg also reported that Microsoft is working on cheaper, $400 Surface Tablets to rival the Chromebooks and iPad, which they are also targeting towards education. These Surface Tablets will come with 10-inch displays, USB Type-C ports for charging and will be 20 percent lighter than current Surface Pro devices. Nice to see that Microsoft is reducing the price of their devices and will have a focus on tablets, as the tablet market is currently one-sided towards Apple’s iPads.
