Lenovo Malaysia has officially launched the ThinkStation P8, a cutting-edge workstation designed to significantly enhance the capabilities of Malaysian businesses and professionals in artificial intelligence (AI) and other intensive computing tasks. Building on the success of its predecessor, the P620 — the first workstation to feature AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors — the ThinkStation P8 promises to revolutionize professional computing with its advanced features and performance.

The launch aligns with the Malaysian government’s national AI strategy, aiming to democratize access to top-tier AI technology. The ThinkStation P8 is tailored to meet the needs of diverse industries such as architecture, engineering, media, healthcare, education, and research, offering solutions that support complex data workflows, real-time graphics, and AI model development.

Featuring a thermally optimized design inspired by Aston Martin, the ThinkStation P8 combines Lenovo’s trusted reliability and innovation with powerful AMD and NVIDIA® technology. “At Lenovo, we aim to exceed the expectations of our customers by offering a workstation that not only meets but anticipates their evolving needs,” said Varinderjit Singh, General Manager at Lenovo Malaysia.

The workstation is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors, supporting up to 96 cores and 192 threads, and can house up to three NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPUs. This setup is ideal for handling demanding tasks like real-time ray tracing, video rendering, and immersive environment creation.

The ThinkStation P8 also addresses the broader needs of AI adoption within enterprises, supporting robust data science and generative AI workflows that require significant processing power. It comes with options for Windows 11, various Linux® operating systems, and extensive storage and expansion capabilities to ensure high performance and flexibility.

The workstation offers comprehensive security through Lenovo’s ThinkShield offerings and includes options for Premier Support and extended warranties. It also supports Lenovo’s TruScale™ for scalable IT solutions delivered as a service.

Available now in Malaysia, the ThinkStation P8 starts at RM16,429.10. For more information, interested parties are encouraged to visit the Lenovo Malaysia website.
