Leaks shows that AMD has two power efficient processors in the pipeline

A leak has recently surfaced on new power-efficient processors that are from the 2nd Generation of Ryzen processors. This information comes from ASRock, a well-known motherboard manufacturer and the processors are called the Ryzen 5 2600E and Ryzen 7 2700E.

The processors will consist of six and eight cores for the Ryzen 5 and 7 respectively, similar to the X-series of the same processors but they will have a TDP of only 45W which is more than half of the X-series. The Ryzen 5 E 2600E will come with a base clock of 3.1GHz while the Ryzen 7 2700E will have a base clock of 3.7GHz. However, the boost clock speeds are still unknown as of now. These processors are probably made to go against the Intel Core T processors which were branded as power-optimized lifestyle chips, as the Intel processors have a TDP of only 35W.

These new AMD processors were not made with the power user or gamer in mind, they are probably made for those of you that want to just use the processors for light productivity work, but they could also work for those of you that want to build a minimal and compact PC without the worry of power draw and heat.
