Huawei launches the honor 5x, honor 7 Enhanced and Band Z1 in Malaysia

It didn’t take too long for Huawei to introduce a new range of smartphones in a new year shortly after CES 2016 as the company unveiled three new devices to the Malaysian market. The honor 5x and honor 7 Enhanced are the company’s latest handsome looking smartphones that continues to deliver a premium build and solid hardware, while the honor Band Z1 is the first ever honor branded fitness device with an affordable price tag.

The honor 5x takes on an entirely new direction in its hardware design and internals, this mid-range device sports a metal chassis, moving away from plastic and glass from ts previous offerings like the honor 7, the phone has a Snapdragon 615 CPU paired to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash memory, it has a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13-megapixel f/2.0 main camera and 5-megapixel f/2.4 front camera, and a juicy 3000mAh battery that delivers an all day usage. Huawei has also given the honor 5x three different slots for two SIM cards (micro and nano-SIM) and MicroSD card, giving users the flexibility of having two active SIM cards and expanding the phone’s storage without hassle. On the other hand, the honor 7 has got its storage doubled on the Enhanced edition and now comes with a 9V2A Fast Charger out of the box.

The honor Band Z1 might be affordable in terms of price however it sure feels like a premium watch on hand, the fitness device takes on the shape of a Pebble Time Round and it looks like one if you aren’t careful enough to notice its round aluminum frame and PMOLED display. The honor Band Z1 will do what you will come to expect from a fitness device such as tracking your steps, running activities, calories and sleep, Huawei claims that the watch’s capactivie sensor and Polysomnography will be able to detect the wearer’s light and deep sleep activity, hence being able to deliver an accurate sleep tracking feature. The Band Z1 is IP68 certified and supports Android 4.4 and iOS 7 and later devices, with a standby time of 14 days and 3 days of continuous use, the device retails at RM259 and is now available at VMall.my, Lazada and DirectD.

Huawei has yet to reveal the official price and availability for the honor 5x and honor 7 enhanced edition at this time of writing.
