Dell will be the only OEM equipped with the Threadripper throughout 2017

If you are looking to buy a system that comes with AMD monster of a processor the Threadripper, then your only option is going to be the Alienware computers from Dell, as they will be the only OEM that will supply the processor for the remainder of 2017. However, if you are looking to build your own PC with the Threadripper then you are still in luck as it will still be available to be purchased as an individual component.

The Alienware Area-51 Threadripper Edition PC will come factory overclock on all cores and will feature up to 64GB of DDR4 2933 RAM, up to 1TB of M.2 SSD storage and the option of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards in SLI or Radeon RX 480 in Crossfire. Those of you that prefer Intel over AMD are still in luck as Dell will also offer an i9 variant of the PC, where users can choose the Intel 6-core Core i7-7800X, 8-core Core i9-7820X, and the 10-core Core i9-7900X

The AMD variant of the PC will be able to order on July 27 and the Core X-series processors will arrive on August 22, pricing, however, has still not been announced for any of the variants.
