ZTE unveils the dual camera Blade V8 before CES 2017, by accident

CES 2017 is less than a week away, with no stop to the leaks and rumors that have poured in regarding the products that are slated to launch during one of the world’s biggest tech shows. The ZTE Blade V8 happens to be a victim of that too, but by the manufacturer itself, ZTE. The company has revealed the Blade V8 by accident on its own website, and was eventually taken down. Lucky for us, Russian site Hi-tech Mail has managed to pick up some details including hands on images before ZTE removed its blundering web page.

The ZTE Blade V8 is a mid range device, sporting a display of 5.2-inches at Full HD resolution. Underneath the hood sits a Snapdragon 435 processor, alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. As mentioned earlier, the ZTE Blade V8 is a dual camera handset, therefore the rear camera consists of a 13MP + 2MP configuration. The 2MP sensor is said to gather depth information. The camera also has stereoscopic 3D photo support.

The mid ranger also has a fingerprint sensor equipped on the front, which supports fingerprint gestures for shortcuts. The fingerprint sensor is said to be able to read fingerprints from any angles, which is a smart move by ZTE. The Blade V8 will operate ZTE’s MiFavor UI 4.0 on top of Google’s latest Android Nougat software, which will be a plus as well. All these details, courtesy of a whoopsie by ZTE.
