ZTE unveils entry level Grand X View 2 tablet

Nothing much has been going on in the world of tablets, as overall sales continue to plunge this year. We all do know that Apple launched the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and from the Android side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. ZTE has made its mark once again with the rare tablet release from the Chinese manufacturer.

The ZTE Grand X View 2 has debuted in Canada once again, like its predecessor the Grand X View nearly two years ago. By the looks of it, the Grand X View 2 is mainly meant for simple and non-demanding tasks, as it is an entry level device.

First off, you’ll find an 8-inch display on the front in 1280 x 800 resolution. Underneath the hood is a measly sounding Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, alongside only 1GB of RAM. 8GB of internal storage seems rather sub par as well, but can fortunately be expanded via the micro SD slot.

Luckily for ZTE, tablets are generally used for media consumption and simple tasks such as web browsing. Given its low end specs, you shouldn’t expect heavy games to run smoothly, or multi tasking. Maybe ZTE should stick to making phones. What do you think?
