ZTE unveils Blade A910 and Blade V7 Max

Following the announcement of the ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini less than a week ago, the Chinese OEM has unveiled two more devices that come in pretty impressive packages as well. In the Beijing event, ZTE unveiled the ZTE Blade A910 and the ZTA Blade V7 Max, carrying on its successful run so far.

Let’s start off with the ZTE Blade A910. The handset sports a vibrant AMOLED live color display at 5.5 inches, but at a sub-par 720p resolution. It is housed in a all-metal body and a slim form factor of only 6.9mm in thickness. Underneath the hood is a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and a Mali-T720 GPU alongside an option of 2 or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of expandable storage respectively. The Blade A910 features a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and a 8MP selfie shooter. It packs a 2,540mAh battery and a rear fingerprint sensor. Taking yet another disappointing turn is the handset operates Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The ZTE Blade V7 Max carries a much cooler name than the A910, hence it comes with a more impressive spec sheet as well. A 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass and a non-specified 1.8GHz octa-core processor powering the device. It is available in 3GB or 4GB of RAM witha 32GB of expandable storage via micro SD. In the camera department, the Blade V7 Max has a 16MP PDAF rear camera and a 8MP selfie camera. Compared to the A910, this handset packs more battery capacity at 3,000mAh, not to mention the mandatory fingerprint sensor as well. The DTS audio comes as an added bonus to this device, and thankfully, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with ZTE;s MiFavor UI skinned on top.

The ZTE Blade A910 comes priced at 1,299 CNY (RM780.87) for the 2GB RAM model and 1,499 CNY (RM901.10) for the 3GB RAM version whereas the more powerful ZTE Blade V7 Max carries a price tag of 1,799 CNY (RM1,081.44) for the 3GB RAM variant and 1,999 CNY (RM1,201.67) for the 4GB RAM variant. Is a 720p resolution display acceptable in 2016?
