ZTE launches Axon 40 Pro – SD870 and 100MP camera from $499

ZTE has launched the Axon 40 Pro in global markets, which is a slight step down model of the Axon 40 Ultra that was recently announced, but it is still one really good phone from the company.

Featuring a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED curved screen that refreshes at 144Hz, the Axon 40 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 SoC and features up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, it also has a 5000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging, a quad camera system that comprise of a 100MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 4cm macro and depth sensor, not to forget to mention a front facing 16MP camera, which overall makes it one very attractive smartphone to own for under $500.

In other features, the Axon 40 Pro has stereo speakers and X-axis linear vibration motors, it ships with Android 12 with the company’s MyOS 12 skin running on top.

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will be available for purchase on ZTE’s official website starting today onwards, the phone will start at $499 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant and $599 for the 12GB+256GB storage variant, it will also be made available in the Malaysian market but there are still no official pricing details at this time of writing.
