ZTE Blade A51: Budget smartphone launched and priced below RM500

The ZTE Blade A51 is the latest offering from the company that caters to the entry-level segment of the Malaysian market. Priced at RM419, the device has a dual-camera setup, an octa-core processor and runs on Android R Go.

The ZTE Blade A51 comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ screen with a water drop notch that houses its 5MP selfie camera. It is available in Steel Blue and Pearl Grey, but sports a rather dull design with a fingerprint sensor on the back. On the front, you have thin side bezels, but a slightly thicker top bezel and a much thicker chin.

It’s neither a MediaTek nor a Qualcomm processor

Under the hood, the ZTE Blade A51 is powered by lesser-known chipset, the UniSOC SC9863A; this chip comes with 8 ARM Cortex-A55 cores. It has a single storage configuration — 2GB of RAM paired with 64GB of storage. While some budget phones sport a 5,000mAh battery, ZTE did not do the same. Instead, you’re getting a 3,200mAh battery with a USB-C port. On its rear, the phone features a 13MP camera and a 2MP bokeh lens.

You can get the ZTE Blade A51 on Shopee now

The ZTE Blade A51 can already be purchased on ZTE’s official store on Shopee at RM419, but there is no option to pick the colour variant.
