ZTE Axon 20 5G: First phone with under-display camera will launch in Malaysia

The ZTE Axon 20 5G is the first phone to feature an under-display camera and it’s finally available out of China.

Under-display technology not limited to its selfie lens

This unique phone has a huge 6.92-inch OLED panel that pushes FHD+ resolution. Its 32MP selfie camera is hidden under the display, so you won’t be seeing a punch hole cutout or a conventional notch on it. You’re also getting a fingerprint scanner underneath this 90Hz screen, and ZTE says that it also offers under-display sound.

This is a midranger with several flagship specs

Despite the one-of-a-kind technology, the Axon 20 5G is not a flagship device. It uses a midrange chipset, the Snapdragon 765G chip, and comes with 8GB of RAM and runs on the latest Android 10. Its 4,220mAh battery supports 30W Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and it is packed with a 64MP quad-camera setup that includes an 8MP ultra wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor and another 2MP macro camera.

Markets that will get the ZTE Axon 20 5G

Even though the price hasn’t been revealed, it has been confirmed that Malaysia will be one of the first few countries to get the Axon 20 5G. It will also be available in the U.K., European Union, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and more.
