ZTE Axon 2 spotting passing through TENAA

Chinese regulatory site TENAA has always been the spot for smartphone leaks, and they appear to be inevitable. Yesterday we’ve witnessed the upcoming Huawei Honor V8, or the Honor V8 series of three variants passing through the site. Today we’re looking at another ZTE device, which is likely the Axon 2, the successor to the company’s previous flagship, the Axon.

The device carries the model number ZTE A2017, had its specs revealed by the site. The Axon 2 will be sporting a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display, a Snapdragon 820 processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable memory underneath the hood. The handset will also reportedly feature a 20MP primary camera with an 8MP selfie camera on the front. We’ll also be looking at more 2016-standard features like a USB Type-C port and a rear fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by a 3,140mAh battery.

Based on the image, it seems like the ZTE Axon 2 will be sporting front facing stereo speakers. Looks-wise, it seems like an attractive device, along with slim bezels surrounding the display. According to TENAA, the ZTE Axon 2 will be shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Till then, stay tuned!
