TikTok is now overwhelmingly popular that even YouTube wants to join in the fun. To compete with TikTok, reports revealed that the video streaming app might be launching something similar called “Shorts”.
Shorts will also be a mobile app that allows you to make short videos using licensed music from YouTube Music’s catalog. However, that won’t be the only thing YouTube needs to compete with TikTok. Other factors like video filters and effects should also be considered if YouTube is trying to get Shorts to be an equal competitor to TikTok.
YouTube is not the only one; Facebook also created Lasso — its own version of TikTok — while Instagram was reported to have launched a feature called “Reels” that resembles TikTok.
