YouTube adds personalized topics to iOS app and desktop site

YouTube for iOS and desktop finally supports a feature that was introduced to Android devices back in June 2019 — personalized topics on Home & Up Next.

When the feature was introduced, Android users had the privilege of seeing different topics on their YouTube app. These topics are curated based on their personalized suggestions on Home which depends on what they usually watch on YouTube.

iOS and desktop users will also get to choose topics on their list of Up Next videos that’ll either be from their previous watch history or related to the video they were watching. Naturally, you’ll have to sign in to your YouTube account to enjoy this feature.

Google also announced its future plans of adding more topics that include types of YouTube Mixes, Creators, Music, Gaming and Learning topics. In the meantime, this feature will also support other languages apart from English such as French, Portuguese and Spanish.
