YouTube’s new homepage lets you mute channels and has bigger thumbnails

YouTube has recently redesigned its homepage for desktops and tablets — enabling users to queue videos and mute channels.

With the updated look, the page will offer clearer information to its users in a glance by having longer video titles and larger thumbnails. The new design is also more organised and will include creator’s icon below the video thumbnail.

In addition, YouTube users can now add videos to queue while they’re watching a YouTube videos without being interrupted. If you find channels you’re not interested in on your homepage, you can select “Don’t recommend channel”.

In the future, YouTube will also be adding a feature that is already on the YouTube Android app — selecting topics and customising your feed with related videos. While we’re waiting for the new features to roll out, YouTube Premium and YouTube Music is now available in Malaysia.
