Yahoo Mail brings People Smart View to Android app, and more

Yahoo has brought in a couple of new features with its Yahoo Mail update for the Android app ecosystem. This update comes after the recent major update that rolled out to iOS devices, introducing a new interface alongside a new feature known as “People Smart View”.

With People Smart View, an added option to the app, Yahoo Mail will show you a quick access of the list of people you’ve interacted with in the app. People Smart View can be accessed via the sidebar and you will be given a couple of options for viewing your contacts in the app. In addition to that, to further integrate and personalize your Yahoo Mail app with your Android device, you can now sync your contacts from Yahoo to your personal contact list on your device itself. But do note that this new syncing feature has to be activated manually via the Settings app on your Android device.

Other changes included a couple of animations in the app which are probably soothing to the eyes. Nevertheless, Yahoo has opened its doors for its Android app users to join their beta program, which will give you access to the beta version of Yahoo Mail, plus getting updates ahead of everyone else who isn’t on beta. What do you think?
