Xperia Z5 low volume call issue to be fixed, but not immediately

If you happen to be an Xperia Z5 user, you might want to pay attention to this one. You may or may not be a part of the Xperia Z5 users who have experienced in-call issues after upgrading the software to Android Nougat. The issue, which is specifically the low volume during phone calls have been there for a while now as users cry foul. Thankfully, Sony has responded.

Addressing the issue in one of the complain threads on the Xperia Support Forum, a Sony representative has stated that Sony has acknowledged the existence of the issue and will fix it via a software update come mid-April. This means affected users will have to toil for another month till the fix arrives. Users are also required to perform a speaker calibration after the fix:

The speaker calibration starts the first time you are using the speaker, and later requires that the loud speaker is idle for 30 minutes. The calibration is completed after up to ten hours.”

The good news? The issue will be fixed. The bad? You’ll have to wait another long month before the fix arrives via the software update next month. Better late than never, right?
