Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 8 phone might cost around RM2000

We know that Xiaomi is releasing their new flagship phone, Mi 7, but there was also news that they are going to release an 8th Anniversary phone which will come with the latest tech such as 3D face recognition, and an under screen fingerprint sensor. A recent leak of the presentation slides not only confirms the features but it also tells the variants and prices for it.

Based on the image leaked, the phone will come with a 6.01-inch FullView display, under screen fingerprint sensor, 3D facial recognition, AI cameras, and the latest Snapdragon 845 processor. Most of these specs were already confirmed previously but what was not, is the price. The 6GB RAM, 64GB Storage variant will retail for 2799 Yuan (RM1745.12) and the 8GB RAM, 128GB storage retails for 3199 Yuan (RM1994.51) which certainly sounds extremely affordable for what its offering.

Sadly, the image of the phone was blurred out, which is rather odd as it seems the leaker intentionally blurred out the phone. These prices are based on the price in China and is expected to be slightly more when it arrives in Malaysia.
