Xiaomi's MIUI 8.2 Global Stable ROM now on the rollout

It’s one of Xiaomi’s biggest updates yet again, as it brings its own MIUI version 8.2 onto the plate. MIUI 8.2 Global Stable ROM is currently on the rollout to a few selected Xiaomi handsets, before heading out to more devices progressively this coming February 20th. 

The new MIUI update will be available as an OTA update. Users can check on the software update via the Updater app on Xiaomi devices. The software update includes a tonne of new features, improvements and bug fixes. For instance, there will be antivirus screenings of apps which are downloaded outside of the Google Play Store, various UI adjustments for toggles, and more. Take a look at the supported devices below:

Currently supported devices:

Mi Max / Mi Max Prime / Mi 4i / Mi 3 / Mi 4 / Mi Note / Redmi 1S / Redmi Note 4G

The following devices will be receiving the update progressively starting from 20th Feb 2017:

Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 4 MTK, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 3/Prime, Redmi 3S/Prime, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm
