Xiaomi unveils the bigger Mi 5s Plus

Besides the Mi 5S, Xiaomi also has a bigger variant of the phone around. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Mi 5S Plus.

As the naming convention implies, the Mi 5S Plus is the bigger and better version of the Mi 5S. The phone itself sports a 5.7″ display that appears to be similar to the one found on the Mi 5S. However, unlike the Mi 5S, the Mi 5S Plus does not come with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, opting instead for a much more traditional rear fingerprint sensor instead.

For specifications, the Mi 5s Plus comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage, and a 3,800 mAh battery.

The camera is where the Mi 5S Plus excels at, with the phone sporting a 13MP dual-camera setup. According to Xiaomi, the Mi 5S Plus’ camera system consists of a RGB sensor as well as a monochrome sensor. Both sensors working in tandem results in high quality pictures with minimal noise.

Much like the Mi 5S, the Mi 5S Plus will come in two variants. The 4GB-64GB variant will retail for CNY2,299 (RM1,421), while the 6GB-128GB variant will go for CNY2,599 (RM1,606). Both the Mi 5S and the Mi 5S Plus will be available in China on the 29th of September.
