Xiaomi teases the Mi Max in series of video ahead of launch

Xiaomi has uploaded a trio of short videos, showcasing and exposing the Xiaomi Max in full. While the videos seem like they’re plainly flaunting the looks of the device instead of promoting any of its specific specs, it’s probably a waste of time watching it, though they only total up to less than three minutes. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered, really.

The series of videos are in Chinese as expected, with everyone dressed in traditional Chinese costumes. But the main character is definitely the Xiaomi Max itself, and from the looks of it, the handset is definitely more than worthy to be called a phablet in 2016. Based on the videos, the phablet seems to sport a pretty slim profile for its size.

We’ll definitely be looking at a colossal 6.4-inch display of Full HD resolution. Underneath the hood lie specs which are of the mid-range spectrum. The Xiaomi Max, according to a recent TENAA listing, will feature a Snapdragon 650 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage via micro SD. In typical Xiaomi fashion, we’ll be expecting the Xiaomi Max to remain exclusive to the Chinese market before heading to Malaysian shores. Nevertheless, Xiaomi will be launching the phablet later today so stay tuned!
