Xiaomi has just announced the availability of the new Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, placing a full-screen display smartphone under the price of RM1000. Other than the 18:9 ratio screen, the company is also including an eight-core processor, large pixel sensors for the main camera, front selfie-light and long-lasting batteries.
The phone comes with a 5.7-inch and 5.99-inch 18:9 displays offering users with 12.5% more display area, giving users more screen area which is especially nice when reading or playing games. The rear camera comes with a 1.25μm-pixel sensor, which allows more light for the sensor to capture offering better image quality even in low-light areas. The front selfie-light will allow you to take selfies even in low-light environments and with the always-on feature, it will help when capturing videos. The phones are equipped with a Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and is powered by a 3300mAh battery for the standard model and the Pro comes with a 4000mAh battery.
