Xiaomi might launch the Mi 7 and 8th Anniversary flagship phone on 31 May 2018

There is a big event by Xiaomi that will be held at the end of May 2018. During this event, the company is expected to release a range of products, but they have been quiet about what these products are.

However, just like all big launch events, leaked information on these products are already floating on the Internet. The leaks mentioned that they will be releasing their 2018 flagship phone, Mi 7, as well as the Mi 8th Anniversary Edition phone which surfaced on the Mi Community Forum. Lastly, is the next generation Mi Band 3, which is the long-awaited upgrade of the Mi Band 2. We were also expecting to see the Mi Max 3, however, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted on Weibo that the Mi Max 3 will release somewhere in July 2018. Just like all Mi Max phones, this entry into the Max family will come with a massive 5,500mAh battery as well as the option for a Snapdragon 636 or 660 processor, up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The more interesting phone is the 8th Anniversary device which based on the cut out of the phone, might come with a 3D structured light face recognition, the first company to implement this feature in an Android phone. Other than that, both the Mi 7 and the Anniversary phone will come with the latest Snapdragon 845 processor.
