Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite launched globally

Xiaomi Global has launched the Mi Watch Lite – a supposed rebagde of the Redmi Watch that was introduced last month in its native China.

Like the its Redmi cousin, the Mi Watch Lite packs a 1.4-inch colour display that pushes a 320×320 resolution and a pixel density of 323 ppi. It’s a square watch face, just like the Redmi Watch, and it appears to be curved at the edges too.

It’s got 11 workout modes along with sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring. It has 5 ATM water resistance rating meaning you can take it for a dive of up to 50m deep.

The Mi Watch Lite is equipped with GPS+GLONASS and offers up to 9 days of battery life, or 10 hours with continuous GPS sports mode enabled. Xiaomi also claims that it only takes 2 hours to fully charge the device.

You can get the watch in a few colours – pink, ivory, black, navy blue, and olive; Xiaomi hasn’t disclosed the global pricing yet for the Mi Watch Lite, but the Redmi Watch costs 299 Yuan, which converts to about RM185. Perhaps this version will cost a little more considering it’s now packing the Xiaomi brand instead of Redmi – but we’ll have to wait and see when the company reveals more about it.
