Xiaomi Mi MIX to battle Galaxy S8 and LG G6 in South Korea

The hype train is now going around the newly launched LG G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8, with both flagships from respective manufacturers sporting huge near bezel-less displays with great screen-to-body ratios. But let’s not forget that Chinese company Xiaomi has launched its own concept smartphone before Samsung and LG, being attractive and impressive in its own stride. It looks like Xiaomi will be bringing the battle to the home of Samsung and LG.

According to the Korea Herald, pre-orders for the Xiaomi Mi MIX has opened up in South Korea, via local retailer G-Mobi. The phablet will go on sale three weeks from now on the 28th of April in the country. Only the 256GB storage model of the Mi MIX will be sold, carrying a price tag of KRW799,000 (RM3,133.07). The concept phone by Xiaomi functions just as well as an ordinary smartphone would, and has made it to the headlines when it was launched last year. The Mi MIX has a 6.4-inch display with close to no bezels, sporting a 17:9 aspect ratio, and a still powerful Snapdragon 821 processor underneath the hood.

With its price, the slightly aged Xiaomi Mi MIX will definitely remain a worthy competitor to the likes of the LG G6 and the Galaxy S8 on LG and Samsung’s ground in South Korea. Which of these phones do you prefer?
