We have officially reached tablet category when it comes to smartphone screen sizes. If you think that the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has an extremely large display, its successor will take things up a notch. Xiaomi’s Mi Max lineup still feels fresh with its second iteration having launched back in June. We have some info regarding the Mi Max 3, and it looks like Xiaomi will go with an even larger screen size for the phablet.
Based on the early renders as pictured above, Xiaomi looks to adopt the 18:9 aspect ratio for the Mi Max 3’s display. The display is rumored to measure at a huge 7-inches, equivalent to the likes of Google’s Nexus 7 tablet. The phone does however take on the bezel-less design, which means that the form factor won’t be very much larger than the 6.44-inch Mi Max 2.
The Mi Max 3 is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, which is relatively newer than the current Snapdragon 625 SoC in the Mi Max 2. One other significant change in hardware is the Mi Max 3’s dual rear camera setup as opposed to the current single rear shooter on the Mi Max 2.
The upcoming phablet which is likely to launch in mid 2018 is rumored to come packing a 5,500mAh battery, a slight bump up from its predecessor’s 5,300mAh battery. Stay tuned for more insider information just like this one!
