Xiaomi Mi Max 2 can function as a powerbank

Xiaomi is slated to announce the successor to its mega sized Mi Max phablet later today at its China event. We’re less than 12 hours to the Mi Max 2 launch event and here is one last minute leak to prepare us for the announcement.

The folks of Gizmo China managed to scour the web for this particular leak on Chinese micro blogging site Weibo. The post on Weibo consists on an image of an alleged Mi Max 2 phone claimed to be charging the iPhone 7 in the same image. The Mi Max 2 is rumored to sport a USB Type-C port so chances are that it can work in reverse when it comes to charging.

The ability of the Mi Max 2 being able to act as a powerbank for other devices matches earlier claims of its battery being as large as 5,349mAh, about 500mAh more than its predecessor. Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 660 chipset underneath the hood with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The phablet is also tipped to feature a 12MP rear facing shooter and a 5MP selfie camera.

All of these will be revealed at 2PM local time later today when Xiaomi takes the wraps off its latest phablet – the Mi Max 2.
