Xiaomi Mi 9X With 6.4-inch AMOLED Display and 32MP Selfie Camera Arriving in April

Last week, a report published by XDA-developers claimed Xiaomi is working on three new smartphones featuring in-display fingerprint sensors, including the Mi 9X. Alleged specifications of the Mi 9X have now surfaced online.

According to the new leak, the Xiaomi Mi 9X will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a waterdrop-style notch at the top. The waterdrop notch will house an impressive 32MP resolution selfie camera.

Under the hood, Xiaomi Mi 9X is rumored to run on the same Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor as the Redmi Note 7 Pro. When it comes to performance, the Snapdragon 675 is a significant improvement compared to the Snapdragon 660 chipset inside the Mi 6X. In terms of memory, the leak suggests Mi 9X will be available with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.

In addition to an impressive 32MP selfie camera, the smartphone is said to feature a 48MP + 13MP + 8MP triple camera setup on the back. While the Mi 9X will be more impressive than the Redmi Note 7 Pro in the camera department, it will not be nearly as impressive in terms of battery life. The Mi 9X is said to have a 3300mAh capacity battery with 18W fast charging support. The smartphone will apparently start at CNY 1,699 (RM1,032) in China. It is claimed to be launching in Xiaomi’s home market in April, although no specific date has been confirmed. The global version of the Mi 9X is expected to be launched sometime later this year as the Mi A3.
