Xiaomi Max case leak, reveals IR blaster port

We’re only 8 days away from the unveiling of the Xiaomi Max, and as usual, leaks are still pouring out on Chinese microblogging sites and social media. This time around, images of the Xiaomi Max’s case have been leaked on Chinese site Weibo, which has revealed something new.

Apart from a rear fingerprint sensor cut-out on the soft TPU case, we’ve also spotted an extra opening on the top of the case, which is highly likely a cut-out for an IR blaster. This means that the Xiaomi Max will be able to act as a remote control for home appliances like TV’s and air-conditioners.

In other news, rumored specs have taken another turn with the Xiaomi Max tipped to sport a Snapdragon 650 processor like on the Redmi Note 3, instead of a Snapdragon 820 SoC. The chip is said to be running alongside 3GB of RAM. The device is predicted to be sold starting from $200 (RM782.70). Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below.
