Xiaomi 13T Series launches in Malaysia

The Xiaomi 13T series is now official and as you’d expect from Xiaomi, these phones are no short of excitement as the company has included Leica certified camera glasses for the very first time in the T series flagships, though the Xiaomi 13 series is still superior when it comes to hardware specifications.

Comprising the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro, these phones are powered by Mediatek Dimensity chipsets with the former having the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset, and the latter having a more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ chipset.

Also, both phones are IP68 water and dust resistant, and Xiaomi commits to 4 years of Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches for these phones.

Leading the series, the Xiaomi 13T Pro comes with significant hardware upgrades from its predecessor, such as its 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display that now refreshes at a faster 144Hz, while pushing a peak brightness of 2600 nits and a PWM Dimming frequency of 2880Hz.

The phone’s storage configuration will excite those who stores a lot of media, as it comes with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage.

Juiced by a 5000mAh battery, the Xiaomi 13T Pro will as usual support Xiaomi’s 120W HyperCharge.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi 13T sports very similar hardware with the Pro except for its memory configuration and fast charging wattage, which the former comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and the latter only supporting up to 67W fast charging.

When it comes to cameras, the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro shares the same triple camera hardware that has been certified by Leica, though you don’t get a 1-inch sensor like you do on the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the main camera is a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor size with a f/1.9 aperture and OIS, the 50mm telephoto and 15mm ultrawide camera will take 50-megapixel and 12-megapixel stills respectively.

Despite that, the Xiaomi 13T Pro’s camera still has the upper hand when it comes to video recording specs, as it supports up to 8K 24 fps resolution and do 10-bit LOG video recording with support for LUT import, which is all thanks to the more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ chipset.

On the Xiaomi 13T, you can still record videos up to 4K at 30 fps with support for HDR10+ video recording. Both phones’ front cameras take 20-megapixel stills and up to 1080p 30 fps video recording.
