Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be launching in Malaysia on June 20th

After a long wait, Xiaomi Malaysia has finally announced that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, its ultimate flagship camera phone, will launch in Malaysia on 20th June, completing the Xiaomi 13 series.

Like the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and has the same 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display, though it is unsure if Xiaomi will introduce the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant, it has a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 90W PD wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

What makes the Xiaomi 13 Ultra differ from the other siblings would be its camera setup, which is still certified by Leica and in which the main 50MP 1-inch sensor will feature a dual f/1.9 and f/4.0 aperture, it also gets a 50MP 120mm periscope lens, and larger f/1.8 apertures for its 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide lens, though the front camera is still the same paltry 32MP shooter that takes 1080p videos.

Other differences include a USB 3.2 port which would allow for faster file transfers and DisplayPort output, which is quite a big deal if you want to transfer huge chunk of files to your computer rather than depending on a wireless connection.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a starting price of RMB 5999 in China, which converts to around RM3,878, but do expect its starting price to be a lot higher here, as the Xiaomi 13 Pro already starts at RM4,599, and we won’t be surprised if it breaches the RM5,000 price mark.
