Xiaomi 12 series launched: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 & 120W charging

The Xiaomi 12 flagship series is now official and comes with three different selections for you to choose from — Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12X. These devices come packed with a variety of different specs such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, triple 50MP cameras, 120W charging and more.

Xiaomi 12

In order to deliver a smartphone that is more compact as per fans’ requests, the vanilla variant sports a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that pushes a refresh rate of up to 120Hz; it is also protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus to prevent scratches.

Under the hood, we have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. It’s also packed with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and even 10W reverse charging.

In terms of camera, it has a triple-camera setup which consists of a 50MP main camera that uses Sony’s IMX766 sensor, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP telemacro lens. For selfies, you have a 32MP front camera.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

Compared to its vanilla variant’s more compact form, the 12 Pro sports a 6.73-inch QHD display. In terms of hardware, the SoC, RAM and storage options are the same except for its camera and battery.

This device features three 50MP cameras — main camera with Sony IMX707 sensor, portrait lens, and ultrawide lens. Other than that, it packs a 4,600mAh battery that charges at a whopping 120W via cable and 50W for wireless charging.

Xiaomi 12X

There’s also a slightly cheaper model in this series and that is the 12X. It is very similar to the vanilla model with the only differences being its Snapdragon 870 SoC and no options of wireless or reverse charging.
