Xiaomi 12 Lite packs glam and power from $349

Xiaomi’s Lite smartphones have always been a pretty good fashion statement, and it continues to do so with the Xiaomi 12 Lite, which is an attractive looking mid-range device with a blocky design that comes in color options of Black, Lite Green and Lite Pink.

As usual with Xiaomi phones, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is a generously spec phone, it is powered by a Snapdragon 778G SoC supported by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, it sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED 10-bit + 2-bit display that supports Dolby Vision and refreshes at 120Hz with 1920Hz PWM dimming, a triple camera system that comprise a 108MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro camera lens, front facing 32MP camera, and 4300mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

In other features, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has Dolby Atmos certified dual speakers, an IR blaster and in-screen fingerprint reader, it however lacks a headphone jack which isn’t surprising.

Xiaomi Malaysia hasn’t announced its local availability yet but based on global pricing, the phone can be preordered at July 13th onwards with a starting price of US$349 (RM1548) for the base 6GB+128GB storage variant, the top 8GB+256GB storage variant will cost US$449 (RM1992).
