Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE launched with more powerful Snapdragon 778G chipset

Alongside the Xiaomi 11T series, the brand also introduced the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, a follow-up to the Mi 11 Lite that we reviewed a few months ago.

Much of the phone is left unchanged bar a new Snapdragon 778G chipset that now allows the phone to support 5G connectivity. The original Mi 11 Lite used a Snapdragon 732G chipset which was a much weaker chip.

Aside from that, the phone packs the same specs as the original – meaning you get a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz display with TrueColor, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support.

One of the reasons why I liked the original Mi 11 Lite was how light and thin it was – this new version is no different as it weighs only 158g, and has a 1.88mm thickness.

When it comes to the camera department, the phone packs a 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, you get a 20MP camera.

Powering the device is a 4,250mAh battery with support for up to 33W of fast charging.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is priced from 369 Euro (about RM1,812) and comes in Truffle Black and Bubblegum Blue. Visit Xiaomi’s website here  to stay updated on its local availability.
