Windows 10 could soon be re-installed from cloud servers – making process faster and safer

Resetting your Windows PC is pretty easy nowadays – we do it to clear out old machines that may be slowing down, or to just prep it for a new user. All you need is either an external or local backup of the operating system and you’re set. But a recent report say that you will soon be able to restore Windows 10 from cloud servers!

Local backups may be infected with malware, while not everyone has an external source to load from. This new online-based option will apparently be available via the ‘Reset this PC’ option in your Windows Settings – and will prompt a download of Windows 10 from the cloud.

With high-speed internet now becoming more widely available, users would be able to download a clean copy of Windows 10 in no time. As usual, the resetting process will remove user data and apps if you choose the ‘Remove everything’ option and should give you a clean slate.

It is unsure when the feature will be rolled out, but keep an eye out on our website for updates.
