Windows 10 Pro to sport Ultimate Performance power scheme in new Insider Preview

You are probably familiar with the power scheme in Windows if you are conscious about the performance and efficiency of your system, and Microsoft has added a new power scheme for Windows 10 Pro users called the Ultimate Performance in the new Insider Preview. Users who have opted to receive Insider build versions of Windows 10 will find this feature when their systems are updated to build 17101 Fast or 17604 Skip Ahead.

Windows 10 Pro has always been an operating system that focuses on mission critical scenario, having the Ultimate Performance scheme allows users to get the absolute maximum performance out of high performance computers. While this power scheme is build upon the current High Performance scheme, it goes one step further to eliminate micro latencies associated with fine grain power management techniques. Microsoft hasn’t specifically mention how much performance gain that Ultimate Performance will offer over the existing High Performance policy, OEMs can choose to enable this scheme with shipped machines and it is currently not available for laptops as for now.

Apart from that, the new Windows 10 Insider Build will also come with updated emoji designs, improved control on file access permissions for Universal Windows Programs, and a number of bug fixes and performance improvements as usual. Meanwhile, do hit up Windows Update if you are on the Insider Preview program and let us know if you do find any performance gains when enabling Ultimate Performance.
