WhatsApp has now made one of its most recent beta only features official to all users. Instead of only being able to share the usual file formats like images, videos, GIFs and PDFs, you will now be able to share file types of any type on WhatsApp. This new feature is available with the latest version of WhatsApp on the Google Play Store.
With the new update, WhatsApp has also changed how pictures are being viewed when multiple images are being sent by a user simultaneously. The end user will be able to view the images in a thumbnail style gallery. Tapping on the the images will then bring out the view view of that image.
Tracking back to being able to send any file type on WhatsApp, the feature does come in really handy especially if you’re a regular WhatsApp desktop user, which means that WhatsApp can act like an instant email messenger for file attachments. The size limit for the files is pretty reasonably as well, at 100MB.
The latest update of WhatsApp should be rolling out within these couple of days. If you happen to be a beta user, you’re probably already enjoying most of these newly introduced features for a while now.
