WhatsApp “Delete For Everyone” Major Update

As we all know, WhatsApp has a “Delete For Everyone” feature that allows sender to delete their sent messages within 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds, should they want to retract their sent messages. Now things are going to be different, because this time round, it’s not only going to be on the sender’s side, but also the recipient’s side.

According to WABetaInfo (A fan site that tests WhatsApp new feature), says that WhatsApp will soon feature the “Delete For Everyone” new update, whereas if the recipient did not receive a delete request by the sender within 13 hours, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds, then the message that the sender initially would like to delete will not be deleted.

It is said that the new feature is being added to stop users from deleting their older messages which can be done by tweaking with the mobile system settings. WABetaInfo also mentioned that the new feature is intended to be a protection against modded users that revoke messages that is sent weeks, months, or years ago.
