What does Xiaomi not have? Xiaomi’s products range from smartphones, tablets, TV’s, air purifiers, to even a smart rice cooker! And that’s just a few of the many products by the Chinese manufacturer. Up next, a Xiaomi drone, which will be unveiled this Wednesday, according to a teaser uploaded by Hugo Barra earlier.
Not only that, a short teaser video was uploaded online, giving us a few glimpses of what to expect of the Xiaomi drone when it launches. Based on the teaser video, the drone looks like a typical quadcopter, with a camera mounted below it. The camera, which isn’t tiny to begin with, seems to be able to capture video clips from all kinds of angles. However, don’t mistake it for a 360 degree camera which is currently in trend. That would be a story to tell for another day.
May 25 is the date when the Xiaomi drone unveils, according to Barra. The name for the drone has yet to be mentioned, but we’re guessing that it might be called a Mi Drone or something along that line, based on Xiaomi’s history of naming gadgets. How much do you think the drone will cost?
