Vivo’s under screen fingerprint sensor phone is called the Vivo X20 Plus UD

It would see that the name of the new Vivo phone with the under screen fingerprint sensor will be called the Vivo X20 Plus UD. During CES 2018, the company showed off their fingerprint sensor technology but they did not mention the name of the phone or specs it will come with.

Vivo has already started mass production of the phone and is expected to launch it by the end of the month. Some of the rumours mentioned that we will see the phone during MWC 2018 next month, but it looks like they are ready to launch the phone later this month. The X20 Plus UD has recently received 3C certification and based on previous leaks, it bears a similar resemblance to the Vivo X20 Plus when it comes to design and specifications. It will come with a 6.43-inch 18:9 ratio display, Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM, 3,900mAh battery and comes with a price tag of 3,698 Yuan (RM2271.91).

We have seen the demo of the under screen fingerprint sensor and based on that, it is slightly slower when compared to physical sensors. We might see an improvement on the response time but for now, we can finally get a phone that uses the screen as a fingerprint sensor. The phone is said to go on sale late January.
