Vivo has announced that it will be holding a launch event in China on May 24 at 19:30 local time to launch the Z5x. Ahead of the smartphone’s formal debut in the country, it has been listed on popular Chinese e-commerce website JD.com.
The Vivo Z5x listing on JD.com includes high-resolution press renders of the smartphone, showing a punch-hole display and vertically-stacked triple rear cameras. Accompanying the triple cameras on the back of the phone is a fingerprint sensor.
According to the JD.com listing, Vivo Z5x will be available in 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB storage variants. As for color options, the Z-series smartphone will be available in Extreme Night Black and Phantom Black options.
While the JD.com listing does not reveal the key specifications of the smartphone, the Z5x has been caught on the popular Geekbench benchmark database. Going by the Geekbench listing, Vivo Z5x will be powered by a powerful Snapdragon 710 mid-range processor. A major highlight of the upcoming smartphone is expected to be its massive 5000mAh battery.
The phone is also rumored to feature a 6.53-inch sized display with Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. On the software front, Vivo Z5x will be launched with the company’s Funtouch OS 9 running atop Android 9 Pie.
