vivo Y20T launches with Snapdragon 662 and 5,000mAh battery

The vivo Y20T is now official and it packs useful upgrades over last year’s Y20 and Y20s.

The new addition to the series comes with a Snapdragon 662 chipset, which is a big improvement over its elder siblings’ Snapdragon 460 SoC.

There’s 6GB of ram as standard, but what’s new is vivo’s Extended RAM 2.0 feature which borrows 1GB of memory from the phone’s storage capacity to be used as temporary RAM.

The Y20T comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ Halo FullView LCD display along with a drop-notch module.

For imaging, there’s a 13MP main lens, along with a 2MP bokeh lens, and 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there’s an 8MP lens which supports Aura Screen Light and Portrait Mode that help create brighter, and more aesthetic selfies.

Powering the phone is a massive 5,000mAh battery along with 18W of fast charging.

The phone is currently only available in India – it’s priced from Rs15,490 (about RM857.67). There’s no word on its local availability or pricing yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when more information arrives.
