The Vivo V7 gets a price cut to RM999

The Vivo V7 was a great selfie phone that we find it to be a decent performer during our review, though its internal hardware isn’t exactly the most attractive one in the same class, it didn’t fail us when it comes to day-to-day performance while it comes with a great selfie camera. If you are thinking to get one, the V7 is now priced at RM999, a RM300 off its original price, making it rather competitive in the selfie smartphone space.

For starters, the Vivo V7 features a 5.7-inch 18:9 display with a HD+ resolution and a 24-megapixel selfie camera with flash, a Snapdragon 450 processor powers the phone’s performance, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage with support for expansion.  At our time of review, we commended the V7 for its updated Android software and security patch, though it still isn’t running on Android Oreo at this point of time, the phone runs Android 7.1.2 and has already been patched with the December 2017 security update, which is rare for many Chinese smartphones.

As there have been recent devices like the ZenFone Max Plus M1, it does certainly make sense for Vivo to reduce the V7’s price to be more competitive, the V7+ on the other hand currently retails at RM1,399.
