vivo Malaysia has teased the arrival of its next generation portrait photography phones, the vivo V40 series will as usual come in a standard and Pro variant, while the ‘e’ variant should also arrive at a later time, the main variants are expected to come with improved portrait photography experience while continuing to feature ZEISS cameras on the Pro model.
There isn’t much details to be shared as of now, but like the previous V series phones, the V40 series sports a unique fashionable design, though on one hand the signature Aura Ring light seems to be smaller this round, we hope that it is just as bright to brighten up portraits, and let’s hope the brightness can also be adjusted this round.
In terms of specs, we are looking at a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 to power the standard variant, the Mediatek Dimensity 8300 Ultra to power the Pro variant, we should also expect a 12GB+256GB storage configuration for the former, while the latter should get 12GB+512GB storage combo.
Probably the most exciting update to these phones is that they are the first V series to support water resistance, the vivo V40 gets IP68 while the vivo V40 Pro gets IP69, some underwater portraits could probably happen eh?
Stay tuned for more as we look forward to the launch of the vivo V40 series on 22nd August 2024.
