vivo V23 5G launched in Malaysia with colour-changing body; priced at RM2,099

The vivo V23 5G has just launched in Malaysia, completing the V23 lineup. Just like other phones in the V series, this new phone offers exceptional features for you selfie-lovers, so let’s take a look at what it has in store for us. 

Design

Despite being a mid-range phone, the vivo V23 sports a premium design with its aluminum body. If you get the Sunshine Gold model, you’re in for a treat because of its colour changing glass.

When the glass interacts with sunlight or other sources of UV rays for even a second, it’ll change from a gold to Coast Green and stay like that for at least three minutes — it’s like you’re getting two phones for the price of one (I don’t mean it literally but- you guys get what I mean; Anyways, moving on).

For its display, you have a 6.44-inch FHD AMOLED panel that pushes a refresh rate of 90Hz with support for HDR 10+.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. It also packs a 4,200mAh battery that supports 44W FlashCharge and runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.

Camera

In the camera department, the phone sports a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP AF Night main camera, an 8MP Super-Wide 120° Angle Camera, and a 2MP Macro Camera.

As for the front dual cameras, you’re getting a 50MP Ultra-Sensing Portrait Camera and an 8MP Super-Wide 105˚ Angle camera, with the latter giving us better wefie shots.

You also get a variety of nice additions such as a Dual-Tone Spotlight that offers two different lighting modes for you to choose from and a Party Portrait feature.
