vivo V21 and V21e launched in Malaysia: Priced from RM1,299

The vivo V21 series has just been launched, bringing to the country two options that are great for those looking for a good photography smartphone without breaking the bank.

vivo V21  

The phone packs a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate along with support for HDR10+ for better content consumption.  

The phone itself weighs as light as 176g and is 7.29-7.39mm thin. You’ll be able to get the the phone in two colours – Dusk Blue and Sunset Dazzle. The back panel use an anti-glare matte glass cover that helps the finish stand out. 

Impressive imaging 

The vivo V21 comes with a 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The camera now comes with 4-axis OIS technology for better stabilization.   

The game-changer here is the 44MP front shooter that allows you to snap high-res selfies. On top of that, the front camera also comes with OIS technology, letting you snap sharper images while on the go. 

If you’re out and about at night, you can also make use of the Super Night Selfie mode that helps minimize noise in your selfies; or use the Dual Selfie Spotlight feature that illuminates the subject matter with two bright selfie lights – super helpful when in really dark surroundings. 

Specs 

Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, and alongside it is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone can also use 3GB of your storage capacity to expand your memory when you need it. On top of that, the phone utilizes the new UFS 2.2 storage standard, meaning you get to enjoy faster read and write speeds. 

The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery, and you can charge it with a blazing-fast 33W FlashCharge. 

vivo V21e 

The vivo V21e measures at 6.44-inches as well, and it also boasts an AMOLED panel, but it’s a 60Hz screen instead. 

The phone measures at 7.38mm thin and weighs 171g – and it comes in Roman Black, and Diamond Flare. 

For imaging the phone packs the same camera setup along with the aforementioned OIS stabilization feature. 

Under the hood, the V21e runs on a Snapdragon 720G chipset, along with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Powering the phone is the same 4,000mAh battery with 33W of fast charging. 

Price and availability 

The vivo V21 is priced at RM1,599, while the V21e will cost you RM1,299 – both devices are available to pre-order starting today until 4 May.
